CWDM
CWDM
Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer

About the Product
The Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer modules (CWDM) have been designed to multiplex or de-multiplex optical signals in CWDM systems with up to 8 separate channels at an ITU standard spacing of 20 nm.
The CWDM features low insertion loss, high isolation and excellent environmental stability.
The ITU-T G.694.2 standard compliant optical wavelength channels available are 1271 nm to 1611 nm at 20 nm spacings
Previously 1270 nm to 1610 nm until the relevant ITU standards redefined the wavelengths. The 1511 nm to 1571 nm range is recommended for analogue HFC transmission.
Features
- Cost effective solution for multi-wavelength systems.
- Excellent wavelength stability.
- High isolation.
- Low insertion loss.
- Epoxy free optical path.
- SC/APC, FC/APC and E2000/APC connectors available.
- Optional additional 1311 nm port for forward path transmission to HFC nodes. Either single port or with internal splitter to match number of CWDM ports for feeding multiple HFC nodes over one fibre.
