CPON-100 - Customer Premises Optical Node for CATV delivery

A breakthrough in FTTH technology, this light, compact new design CPON-100 provides cost effective point to point (P 2 P) broadband capability.

This unit provides future-proof high bandwidth via fibre to the home services. The integrated fibre splice organiser negates the need for extra boxes. The compact design has been tailored with security and ease of installation in mind.

The CPON-100 features 2 x 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet ports together with 45~870 MHz RF cable television, all integrated in a small and sturdy diecast enclosure. The unit is available with SNMP management and with a full set of customer SLA features including VLANs and Quality of Service (QoS) settings.

The core of the CPON-100 consists of a high performance Fast Ethernet switching circuit and a low-noise broadband optical receiver module, capable of handling large numbers of radio channels and analog/digital television channels for simultaneous delivery whilst still retaining low power consumption.

• High-performance optical CATV receiver delivering full bandwidth analog cable television 45~870 MHz (110 NTSC or 91 PAL channels), as well as DVB-C, DVB-T and HDTV digital television channels.

• Two Fast Ethernet subscriber ports for 10/100 Mbps, auto-negotiating, auto-crossover, auto half-duplex / full-duplex operation.

• Secured optical and power connector to prevent tampering from user end.

• QoS/CoS packet prioritisation for multi-services network with 802.1p and DiffServ supported. Port-based priority supported.

• Remote monitoring and management via an optional in built intelligent network controller with Web and SNMP support.

• Two independent alarm monitor and contact connections.

• Second data port for easy connection to third party VoIP box with Priority QoS.

• Cost effective compact, solid diecast unit.
