CPON-CATV - Customer Premises Optical Node for CATV delivery

The Light Link ® Direct Customer Premises Optical Node, CPON-CATV offers full bandwidth cable television delivery to the home over a single fibre core.

Fibre-to-the-home is a reality today with the CPON-CATV. Designed as an economic home termination unit for broadband passive optical networks (BPON) with cable television (RF CATV) overlay, permitting transmission of many hundreds of simultaneous analog and digital radio and television programs in analog PAL/NTSC or digital DVB standards.

Employing PBN's leading edge photonics design inside a sturdy and compact housing, the CPON-CATV permits easy installation in wiring closets or other confined spaces.

The core of the CPON-CATV consists of a high performance low-noise broadband cable television optical receiver module, capable of handling very large numbers of radio and television channels for simultaneous delivery.

• Delivers full bandwidth CATV over one single mode optical fibre core.

• High-performance optical receiver for cable television delivery with 110 NTSC channels or 91 PAL channels capacity.

• Suits cable television delivery with PAL/NTSC analog channels as well as DVB-C and DVB-T digital television standards.

• Wide optical input range permits easy installation with minimal on-site alignments. LED indicator confirms adequate optical input level.
