EPON-OLTM - Optical Line Terminal Module for Triple Play Ethernet PON

The OLTM optical line terminal module for IEEE802.3ah compliant EPON is part of our next generation FTTx product range.

The OLTM optical line terminal module and the matching ONU subscriber units enable the deployment of cost effective, low maintenance, next generation EPON systems for business and residential networks, over a passive optical fibre network.

Designed to deliver Gigabit Ethernet over one shared bi-directional single mode fibre to up to 32 remote nodes, the OLTM includes dynamic bandwidth allocation (DBA) and QoS enforcement for multi-service applications that deliver “Triple Play” communication services.

The central office (CO) interface supports fixed Gigabit Ethernet via an RJ-45 twisted pair connector.

The EPON interface supports one angle polished fibre optic connector for full duplex bi-directional transmission over standard 10 and optional 20 km on one single mode fibre core.

There is an option for injection of a cable television (CATV) overlay transmission at 1550 nm on the same fibre core. This permits delivery of analog cable television with 110 NTSC or 91 PAL channel capacity, as well as DVB-C and DVB-T digital television standards.

• Supports VLAN mapping, up to four priority queues and individual service policies for each LLID link.

• Supports IGMP snooping for multicast group control and broadcast for up to 256 multicast groups.

• CATV overlay option that can deliver both analog television with 110 NTSC or 91 PAL channels capacity and DVB-C and DVB-T digital television standards.
