PBN presents the ultimate Light Link ® Direct Fibre to the Home (FTTH) solution for a bandwidth hungry subscriber base. The GEPON-1000 features a Gigabit subscriber port, making it ideal for the home power user or as fibre terminal for small apartment buildings.

The GEPON-1000 is equipped with sophisticated Service Level Agreement (SLA) management to provide broadband access for “Triple Play” communication services. Video on demand (VoD), voice over IP (VoIP), multicast services and regular data delivery services are supported in one easy to manage, highly refined package that operates over only one single mode optical fibre.

The heart of the GEPON-1000 consists of a low-noise broadband optical receiver module for RF cable television, capable of simultaneously receiving large numbers of radio and television channels. This is complemented by an advanced packet switch processor for the delivery of Gigabit Ethernet services, all over the same fibre core.

Each GEPON-1000 boasts comprehensive remote management abilities including functions to disable the CATV receiver and implement QoS with rate limiting and priorities on the data ports. Remote management features are implemented along with an easy to use software package called NMS3 NetCraft-GEPON, sold separately.

• Strict SLA enforcement for tiered services such as voice and video.

• Supports full duplex 802.3x flow control and back pressure.

• Support MIB counters for network statistics.

• Supports IEEE Std-802.3ah forward error correction (FEC)

• Supports IGMPv1 and v2 for multicasting.
