OCMR-OSLAM-8G
OCMR-OSLAM-8G
Optical Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer Module - for OCMR

About the Product
Introducing the latest in PON technology from PBN. The Light Link® Series 3, Optical Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (OSLAM-8G) module delivers full-duplex 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet together with an optical CATV overlay all on one single-mode optical fibre core per subscriber. The remote equipment can be a CPON-100 for a single family home or a FPR-100W for an apartment building.
The new and advanced OSLAM-8G fibre-optic access multiplexer provides the basic building block for highly scalable Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) and Fibre-to-the-Block (FTTB) applications. With 80 available line ports per OCMR chassis, the network costs involved are greatly reduced.
The OSLAM-8G is an OCM chassis module, complete with network management facilities and comprehensive status and alarm monitoring features that are second to none. The module is also provided with a full-duplex Gigabit Ethernet uplink port for connection to a local network router/switch.
The OSLAM-8G includes eight optical line ports with full traffic management and control. Each port can handle a full-duplex 100 Mbps digital subscriber line operating with 1310 nm same wavelength full-duplex technology over one single-mode fibre core. An optional CATV overlay injection via WDM at 1550 nm is also available.
Features
- Eight subscriber line ports tailored for a full duplex 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet service including data multicasting. In addition, the optional CATV overlay provides around 5 Gbps of bandwidth for multicast delivery of digital video broadcasting (DVB), analogue CATV and radio broadcasting.
- Gigabit Ethernet uplink port for easy connection to a local access router/switch.
- Traffic management using IEEE 802.1D STP, 802.1w Rapid STP, 802.1s multiple VLAN STP, IGMP snooping with multicast support.
- Complete Quality of Service (QoS) with four traffic-class queues based on port, IEEE 802.1p, IPv4 TOS or Diff-Serve, IPv6, 802.1Q VLAN ID. Static or dynamic MAC address translation.
- VLAN configuration per port, including support for port based 802.1Q VLAN IDs.
- Full integration with the PBN NMS3 DragonNest and DragonView network management system for fibre management and service provisioning.
- Remote monitoring and management via an in built, intelligent network controller with Web and SNMP support.
