About the Product
The ODN2P-G2 optical distribution node with two amplified RF ports has been designed to deliver interactive CATV and high-capacity DOCSIS services. The ODN2P-G2 is IP67 rated and suitable for outdoor and indoor applications.
The ODN2P-G2 deep-fibre node solution suits the last-mile in broadband access networks. The small and rugged design makes this unit an ideal answer for fibre-to-the-apartment and fibre-to-the-curb applications.
The ODN2P-G2 can also be equipped with return-path transmitter modules for various optical wavelengths, making CWDM single-fibre operation a viable solution.
The ODN2P-G2 return transmitter has a 4.5 MHz pilot generator and an FSK modulator for node status monitoring. The pilot is used for automatic level control in the RPQRM headend return-path receivers and the FSK data from the node is then available on the OCMR front-panel display including via SNMP to the NMS3 network management system.
There is an option for dual forward-path receivers with automatic AB switching, providing redundancy. Another option for dual return-path transmitters can provide return-path segmentation. The ODN2P-G2 also has a burst-mode transmitter option.
