PBN offers a comprehensive range of fibre optic splitters to compliment our well-known range of optical laser transmitters, optical receivers, erbium doped fibre amplifiers, and optical switches.

The OSP-S product lines with fibre optical couplers are designed for single mode fibre applications. Available in a range of splits from 2 to 32 ports and various split ratios to suit specific network requirements, these couplers provide ideal solutions for low loss optical transmission to multiple receiver sites.

The use of optical splitters allows the optical power of headend laser transmitters or optical amplifiers to feed multiple field nodes, hence maximizing the use of optical transmission equipment and producing economic results for the operator.
The units are reciprocal and can also be used to combine multiple return path transmitters onto one fibre to a single return path receiver.
The OSP-S optical splitter comes in various packages depending on the specific model, (refer to ordering information). Fibre pigtails are available in 0.9 mm nylon jacket or 2 mm yellow buffering. Various connector types are available, including SC/APC, LC/APC, E2000/APC, FC/APC or ST optical connectors. Flat polished variants are also available.
