The FPR optical fibre CATV receiver has been designed to receive optical wavelengths of 1300 nm to 1610 nm and convert them to cable television signals with compatible RF output between 45…862 MHz.
The optical receiver offers superior frequency response with excellent distortion and noise characteristics.
The FPR includes automatic gain control (AGC). The RF output level AGC setpoint and the slope can be soft-controlled via the control keypad on the FPR front panel.
There is an option to equip the FPR with a full duplex data module for Fast Ethernet or for Gigabit Ethernet.
The Fast/Gigabit Ethernet channel is optically multiplexed with the forward CATV path, in such way that only one fibre core per remote FPR node is needed to deliver both full bandwidth CATV and high speed business data in customer access networks.
The Fast Ethernet option is compatible with PBN's OSLAM-8 optical subscriber line access multiplexer. The Gigabit Ethernet option requires an LTM802 unit at the headend. |
