Light Link ® Series 3

OLTM - Optical Line Terminal Module

Description

Presenting the new and advanced Light Link ® Series 3 Optical Line Terminal Module ( OLTM ). Designed for IEEE802.3ah compliant EPON the OLTM is part of our next generation FTTx product range. The module is designed to fit into the OCM chassis with plug and play technology for ease of installation and management.

The OLTM and the matching ONU subscriber units enable the deployment of complete, cost effective, low maintenance, next generation EPON systems for business and residential networks, over a passive optical fibre network.

Designed to operate in a shared fibre environment with up to 32 nodes per passive optical network (PON), the OLTM supports full-duplex, bi-directional transmission over standard 10 km and optionally 20 km on one single mode fibre core.

Delivering both Gigabit Ethernet and CATV services, the OLTM includes dynamic bandwidth allocation (DBA) and QoS enforcement for multi-service applications that deliver “Triple Play” communication services.

Microprocessor based status monitoring and control is available for operation from the local OCM keypad or remotely via the network, using the PBN NMS3 network management software. All module settings are retained in NV memory to ensure a trouble free operation.

Features

  • Supports DBA for carrier-class, multi-service applications (data, voice and video).

  • Allows for traffic classification, aggregation and shaping for strict QoS enforcement.

  • Supports VLAN mapping, up to four priority queues and individual service policies for each LLID link.

  • Remotely upgradeable firmware for new features and functionality improvement.
