LL802T - Bi-directional Fibre Standalone Media Converter

The LL802T standalone media converters are designed to deliver full duplex fast Ethernet over one bi-directional single mode fibre to remote buildings or to data subscribers.

The converters support twisted pair RJ-45 connectors for the copper system and one angled polished SC/APC fibre optic connector (green) for the optical network. This facilitates the use of conventional Ethernet switching or routing equipment with RJ-45 ports, and converts these at minimum cost to fibre optic trunk lines.

The units operate in full duplex mode bi-directionally over large distances on one single mode fibre core. A link can consist of two LL802T standalone units, or one LL802T and one LL802R rack card. It is also possible to put two LL802R rack cards back to back. The LL802T and the LL802R are also compatible with our LTM802 module for 100 Mbps.

This bi-directional single fibre solution can produce substantial savings for inter-building facilities where line rental is paid per fibre core.

• Auto-sensing of 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps full duplex speed on the copper port.

• Extends a 100 Mbps full duplex Fast Ethernet service over one bi-directional single mode fibre.

• Options available for 100 km or more.

• Clear indicator LED's for link status and data activity for both the copper port and the fibre port.

• Use two identical LL802T units for a link, or combine with the LL802R rack card for high subscriber densities.
